What are your hours?

Monday-Thursday 11am-8pm;
Friday-Saturday  10am-9pm;
Sunday 12pm-6pm

Do I need to make an appointment to sell my merchandise?

No, you can bring your items in to sell any time we are open, Tue.-Sat. The buy area is closed on Monday. See schedule here.

Can my children have their own trade credit account?

Yes. If they want cash for their items and are under 18, parents must sign the payout log for their children.

Can trade credit be transferred?

Yes. You may give your credit to someone else. You may also donate it to a school if it is in our school trade credit program.

Do you buy everything?

No. While we do buy books, music, movies, and video games audiobooks, and electronics for most genres, we have guidelines to ensure that what we buy meets our selling standards. Inventory levels also affect our buying decisions. We do not buy every kind of electronics (dvd players, boom boxes, multi-purpose remote controls, gps, zunes, etc.). We do not take any computer software or video game instruments.

How are prices determined when I sell my books, etc. to you?

Pricing is based on many factors including present inventory, desirability, market value, age, condition, and selling history.

Does trade credit ever expire?

No, trade credit never expires and is held in an account in your name.

Can I redeem my trade credit for cash?

No, buying percentages are different for cash and trade credit; therefore they are not interchangeable.

Do I have to stay in the store while you process my order?

No. You can stay if you prefer, but you may also leave your items and we will contact you by text or e-mail when your order has been completed. You have three days to pick up unsold items, unless you designate that you do not want your items back. If you leave your items to be processed, you waive the right to take back what we have purchased, as those items will already be sorted into our inventory.

How old do you have to be to sell items to the store? Do I need ID?

You must be at least 18 to receive cash. You need a valid picture ID if you are requesting cash (driver's license, visa, state-issued ID). Anyone can receive trade credit and you do not need ID for trade credit.

Can I get a quote over the phone for something I want to sell?

You can never receive a quote over the phone.  You can, however, call to see if we are accepting certain things at that time.

Can I receive cash or trade credit for everything I sell? Can I use trade credit to buy anything in the store?

You can receive cash or STORE credit for some books, games, puzzles, music, and movies (Receive store credit ONLY on most genre fiction, sections of non-fiction that are overstocked, VHS, low-end vinyl records and CD's, no cash payouts will be given for these items). You can receive cash or PREMIUM trade credit for video games, gaming systems, iPods and Calculators.  You always receive more in trade credit than cash for any item.  Trade credit cannot be converted to cash.  Store Credit can be used to purchase all books, games, puzzles, music, and movies. Premium Credit can be used to purchase everything in the store* (including video games, systems, accessories, and electronics). *No Trade Credit can be used to purchase any local craft, art, music, book, candy, or promotional item. 

Do you give discounts?

Yes. We give discounts to senior citizens and we also give discounts to those in public service: military, teachers, policemen, firemen, library employees, students.

Do you provide any services beside selling books, movies, music, etc.?

Yes. We have a space for book, media and game club meeting (adults and kids). We have a small art gallery where local artists can show their work. There is a specific section where we sell local musicians' professionally made CDs. Contact us for more info. We sell a variety of coffee and snacks. The Last Word Education for Everyone program is a trade credit program to help schools obtain books for their libraries. We sell gift certificates in any amount.  The gift certificates can be used to purchase anything in the store.

Do you accept credit card and personal checks?

Yes, we accept all major credit cards. No, we do not accept personal checks or traveler's checks.

What is your return policy?

All playable merchandise (movies, music, video games and systems, video game accessories, and all electronics) are guaranteed for 7 days. If a product is defective it may be returned for refund, exchange, or we can resurface it if applicable. Items must have all original parts and packaging. Original receipt is required to receive a refund.  See our Return Policy.

Do you buy generic video game accessories?

No. We take products from the original manufacturer only.
